Tenders are invited for Consultant: Development of a Report on the Current State of Practice of National Financial Inclusion Strategies The general objectives of this project are to: Extract, analyze and connect the existing data points/information regarding NFIS of AFI member countries (as covered by previous NFIS-relevant AFI publications and available information on the AFI Data Portal), NFIS data which is publicly available (desk research) and (new to be gathered) data points/info of AFI members with an NFIS which was launched post-2018. Align the data/info of the topics covered in AFI publications relevant to NFIS (mainly the 2015 and 2018 version of the “NFIS: Current State of Practice” and the 2017 National Coordination and Leadership Structure Survey Report, in addition to the data available on ADP and relevant NFIS desk research) with the structure of the recently published AFI NFIS Policy Model. Produce an up-to-date Report “National Financial Inclusion Strategies: Current State of Practice (2021)” which will discuss findings, trends, approaches regarding AFI-s members with a NFIS. Additional topics/issues (as well as an expansion of the scope) may be added which were missing in 2015 and 2018 or emphasize existing topics which have gained greater importance (e.g. gender). The Consultant undertaking this assignment should have the following qualifications: Advanced degree in a field related to Law, Economics, Public Policy, International Development or another related discipline. Knowledge of and experience in the development and implementation of National Financial Inclusion Strategies as well as proven experience in NFIS-related report-writing. Significant experience in conducting research, assessment and evaluation in the area of financial inclusion and access to finance. Fluency in English. Strong experience in writing quality reports (preferably related to National Financial Inclusion Strategies).
