Globally, employers estimate that 44% of workers' skills will be disrupted in the next five years, highlighting the need for skills-based training aligned with industry needs. Countries in Asia are particularly well positioned to benefit from diversification in the global manufacturing supply chain. In addition, an expected global shortfall of 11 million health workers by 2030 creates additional opportunities for skilling and upskilling especially in emerging markets. In addition, global student mobility is shifting, creating opportunities for universities in emerging markets. Destinations beyond the “Big Four” (US, UK, Canada, Australia) are gaining a larger share of international students, a trend driven by increasingly restrictive government policies in traditional destinations, affordability concerns, and shortages in student housing.
