    Description: BACKGROUNDThe β€œSurvey of salt levels in street foods and strategic communication to strengthen salt reduction action in Malaysia” project is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Health Malaysia, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, the George Institute for Global Health Sydney Australia, and the World Health Organization (WHO) Office in Malaysia. To effectively communicate Salt Reduction messages and interventions to the Malaysian public, the project has initiated a Social Behavioral Change Communication (SBCC) strategy that would facilitate the desired goal of achieving a 30% reduction in average salt intake (from 8.7 g/day to 6.0 g/day) of the adult Malaysian population by 2025.
